"Several years ago, I was fortunate enough to find Carolyn Rose and Isaac Royal Farm when my daughter attended a summer camp session. I was truly amazed with the progress that she achieved during the week-long camp with Carolyn and her staff. A few months later, my daughter and I began travelling regularly to Isaac Royal Farm for riding lessons. Having renewed my interest in riding in my late thirties, my only aspiration was to ride for pleasure. Learning the Aspirant Technique was pivotal in changing my goals from riding for pleasure, to working towards becoming a dressage judge. The Aspirant Technique begins with teaching the rider the importance of balance and builds on that in a systematic manner. Respect for the horse is continually reinforced, allowing the rider and horse to develop a mutually beneficial relationship. As I become more proficient, I am recognizing the importance of developing a solid foundation of basic skills such as balance, leg-yielding and half-halts and how these skills are the key building blocks for becoming a successful dressage rider. I encourage riders of all venues to explore the elements of the Aspirant Technique and integrate them into your training." -Robin Brittelli
