My experiences with horses has been extensive at Isaac Royal Farm. Using the Aspirant Technique, as taught to me by Carolyn Rose, has been the foundation of my success as a trainer, instructor, and a judge. I have been using the Aspirant Technique for over 14 years and have seen its effect on horses of all breeds, temperaments, and levels of training. I have seen it transform un-rideable horses and I have felt the magic of riding a horse truly in self-carriage. Over the years I have earned my Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Rider Medals from the Maine Dressage Society, my Bronze and Silver Rider Medals from the United States Dressage Federation, become an “L” Judge through the United States Dressage Federation and competed all the way to Grand Prix at nationally recognized competitions. I also use the Aspirant Technique for success in Equestrian Theater, my greatest passion. It would be very difficult to ride without hands and do all the theatrical effects that we do if I rode with a heavy contact and a gripping leg. If I flipped my hips and really “rode” the horse in a driving seat there would be no elegance or beauty to the routines. The Aspirant Technique will help any aspiring rider to understand their horse and start their journey of dressage in the correct way. Good luck to all of you and I hope you ride with passion and love for the art of dressage!
