We created our Equestrian Theater Club to help in training students to prepare for our theater. And it has quickly grown into the most popular program for our younger students, though, it is open to all age groups. The students learn to ride in quadrille, pas de trois, pas de deaux, and single kurs. They learn how to control and balance their horse, skills that are essencial when riding with other horses. They learn and create a variety of creative movements and coreography. The students get to design their own rides using what they have learned in class, they also have the opportunity to choose their own music if they so desire. And they get to showcase their creativity in a recital in the spring. We hope that by learning these skills they will be able to further their Equestrian careers when designing their own musical freestyles for competitions.

Sandra Beaulieu is the principle instructor for the Theater Club, she has many years of experience performing in our main Equestrian Theater Production. She also helps them choose their wardrobe to suit each piece they perform, as well as helping them with their poise and delivery to the audience. We re-use some pieces from our main performance, re-coreographed and shortened to suit the abilities of the riders.

This a one of the most valuble and enriching programs we offer, it is great fun and hard work. It awakens creativity and a connection with the horse through music. And lets face it, when else can you find an opportunity to wear a beautiful costume while you ride! We recommend you try it, no matter your age or experience, we guarantee you will love it!!!!
